Ethernet Media Adapter

 

Objective: The client needed a design for an external Media Attachment Point (MAU) adapter that would enable legacy equipment with an AUI port to connect to a 10BaseT Ethernet link. Besides meeting the performance and functional interface requirements of ANSI/IEEE STD 802.3, the unit needed to operate within the full military temperature range.

 

Device to convert AUI port to 10BaseT Ethernet protocol.Result: Original Technology had complete responsibility for both the mechanical and electrical design. By utilizing an integrated two board approach, Original Technology was able to provide a small, self-contained, highly rugged assembly that met all electrical, mechanical, and environmental performance requirements.
